Company Description
TAFE Access Limited (TAL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), India’s second-largest tractor manufacturer and the world’s third‑largest by volume. TAFE was founded in 1960 in Chennai by S. Anantharamakrishnan and has since become a multi‑product conglomerate under Amalgamations Group, offering tractors, diesel engines, agro‑equipment, engineering plastics, transmissions, and more.
In 1998, TAL launched its Vehicle Franchise Division, entering into authorized dealerships for TATA passenger cars in Tamil Nadu (starting with Coimbatore) and Škoda cars in Karnataka by 2002–2005 It also manufactures and markets hydraulic pumps and cylinders globally, supplying major auto brands via its embedded R&D and precision instrumentation facilities.
TAFE Access is part of TAFE’s extensive network of diversified businesses that include farm machinery, agro engines, gears, batteries, vehicle franchises, and plantations operating through over 1,600 dealers and exporting tractors to more than 80 countries.
